Mission Statement
Saint Dominic University is committed to a high standard of education by offering programs of study to students to prepare them for future positions, to enhance the professional development of those already employed, and to provide high quality academic framework for graduate study. The University is also committed
to creating and sustaining a learning environment that contributes to the intellectual, ethical, social, professional and personal development of its students. The university Programs’ emphasis is on the principles of personal development to promote a learning environment which is closely related to the various aspects of theory, knowledge and action. In this context students are encouraged to develop their commitment to personal responsibility.

o Develop the ability to view and understand issues, theories, problems, arguments, and practices from various perspectives. This involves developing an appreciation for unfamiliar forms of representation, and different ways of knowing about things.
o Develop presentation and writing skills, analytic and critical thinking skills, and the ability to carry out proper analysis.
o Develop the motivation, commitment, skills and knowledge necessary to positively contribute to society.
o Develop the ability to make use of knowledge coming out of a variety of disciplines, including science, the arts, humanities, social sciences and mathematics, as they endeavor to come to a fuller understanding of themselves in relation to the outside world.
